Fred G. Bender, Jr., age 57, of Sparta, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 from injuries received in an automobile accident near Big Rapids.
The son of Sandra V. (Tuttle) & Fred G. Bender, Sr., he was born on March 9, 1962 in California and was employed as a computer technician at Wolverine World Wide.

It’s been a long time, Fred. It’s been too long. I miss you. I know I was stubborn, but you are the best… always there for everyone, always thoughtful, always willing to try anything… and you were super fun and dorky. I loved that. You were the best.
I know we had our disagreements, and Ive done alot of soul searching, I wanted to reach back out but was nervous… and now, here we are… and you are gone. Lessons learned. I wish I was there for you in your journey. I’m sorry I wasn’t.
