Florence Margaret Martin, age 96, of Thomas Lake, passed away Monday evening, October 14, 2019 at her daughter's home under the loving care of her family and Elera Caring Hospice. The daughter of Charles Loren & Lillian Belle (Smith) King, she was born on November 1, 1922 and worked as a bartender first at the Green Parrott, and then Les's, retiring after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Charles A. Hancock, Sr. (who lost his life fighting with the U.S. Marine Corps at Iwo Jima during World War II), Ervie Scofield, and Arnold Martin; a son, Charles "Chuck" Hancock, Jr.; her best friend and daughter-in-law, Beverly Scofield; and eleven brothers and sisters, Clarence, Stanley, Elmer, Earl, Kenneth, Howard, Ernie, Hazel, Marjorie, Esther, and Lorraine.
Surviving are her children, David Scofield, William "Bill" & Sheila Scofield, Gary Scofield, and Cindy & John Ploeg; a sister, Loretta & Bob Lantz; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Jesus Non-Denominational Church, 9206 Peck Road, Greenville, with a luncheon following. Burial will take place privately at Riverside Cemetery, Langston.

NO PEAS PLEZZZZZZZZZZZ FLO HOW PRECIOUS A MEMORY BILL SCOFIELD THE NIGHT WE HAD HER DELICIOUS HOMEMADE CHICKEN POT PIE THE NIGHT BEFORE GRANDMA MARTIN THOUGHT I SAID EXTRA PEAS PLEZZZZZZZZZ INSTEAD OF NO PEAS SO SHE ADDED 2 EXTRA CANS HAHA I SAT THERE PICKING OUT EVERY SINGLE PEA LOL THERE WERE 55 PEAS IN MY BIG PLATE BUT IT WAS THE BEST CHICKEN POT PIE I EVER ATE IN MY LIFE!!! I WILL ALWAYS CHERISH THAT PRECIOUS MEMORY ON THOMAS LAKE WITH MAMA FLORENCE GOD BLESS HER!
To Spoke-á at my moms funeral was the hardest thing I have ever done.-á What a wonder person she was. She will be missed by many.-á RIP Mom-á -á -á
