Faye Eileen Staal, age 91, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, March 19, 2018. The daughter of William & Margery (Witteveen) Topp, she was born February 25, 1927 in Holland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Staal; son, William Staal; grandson, Robert Staal; sons-in-law, Thomas Rau and Duane Egmer; daughters-in-law, Donna Winblad and Jane Huberty; and brother, James Topp.

Faye will be lovingly remembered by her children, Randall & Eileen Staal, Edward & Connie Staal, Joanne Egmer, Shirley Rau, and John & Nancy Staal; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma & Larry Veldheer, Leona Topp and Mike Chesebro; brother-in-law, John Staal; sisters-in-law, Theresa Staal-Coleman and Ann England; many nieces and nephews and her special friend Bill Jorgensen.

Marvin and Faye were charter members of Newhall Community (RCA) Church, where she played the organ and piano for morning and evening services for more than 40 years, and spent many years singing in the choir in the Alto section. Faye loved to sew in her earlier years, making the girls matching dresses, and knitting all kinds of projects.  She was very proud of the seasons afghan she knitted and enjoyed making dish cloths as gifts. She accepted a 7 day Facebook challenge to write an inspirational word of the day, from her daughter-in-law.  She ended up writing more than a 1,000 words a day; Sundays focused on sermons, and other days were what popped in her head.
