Eugene (Rick) Tabor II, 73, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, January 1, 2019 unexpectedly. Eugene was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry & Ione Tabor; parents, Eugene & Genevieve Tabor; and his grandson, Julius Lehmoine. Eugene is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda Tabor; son, Clay Tabor & Michele; daughter, Wendy Lehmoine & Ray; grandchildren, Micah Lehmoine, Genevieve Morgan & Ken, Lauren Tabor, and Brandon Tabor; his sisters, Linda Butler and Stephanie Giles & Gary.

Eugene was loved and admired by both his biological and church family as well as friends and neighbors. He loved to sing in the church choir, read good books, and fly-fish. He was a high-school teacher and a tool and die maker by profession respectively. Eugene was a patient, loving, and kind man who always went out of his way to help others.

While we his family will miss his engaging and warm presence, we rejoice that he is now enjoying the face-to-face pleasure of being with his Savior, Jesus Christ, and those loved ones who have preceded him in his home-going.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. His memorial service is planned for 1:30 p.m. May 18th, 2019 at First Evangelical Covenant Church, 1933 Tremont Blvd., Grand Rapids 49504.

Uncle Rick and Aunt Linda, I am so sorry that this has happened. The two of you have been soul mates and connected at the hip since the day I was born. Always so much fun to spend time with. You will truly be missed Uncle Rick. Love Always, Tracy
