Mrs. Ethel B. Patterson, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning, November 4, 2009 from Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, Byron Center.

She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and worked as an assistant buyer at Herpolsheimer’s Department Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ransom L. & Elva B. (Smith) Stoneburner and her husband, William E. Patterson on September 4, 2000.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Pamela Patterson of Grand Rapids, Bill (Angie) Patterson of Houston, Texas, and Ken (Valerie) Patterson of Jenison; grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Michael and Jackson Patterson; and a sister, Marian E. Klump of Kentwood.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009, at Grandville United Methodist Church, 3140 South Wilson S.W., with Pastor Tom Pier-Fitzgerald officiating.  Interment in Highland View Cemetery, Big Rapids.
