Ella “Peg” Chiles, age 73, of Blanchard, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at The Laurels of Fulton in Perrinton.

The daughter of Cecil & Rita (Thompson) Esch, she was born on July 21, 1940 in Remus.

For many years Peg owned and operated her own janitorial service and cleaned banks, offices, and private homes. She had also worked at the former Hitachi Magnetics Corp. in Edmore, but her greatest pleasure was in time spent with her family and friends… especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Arlene Ostby and Barbara Bell; three brothers, John Voss, Keith Voss, and Donald Voss; and a grandson, “Baby” Lance Eldred.

Surviving are her children, Shawn & Dale Price, Robert Eldred, Lenny Eldred, Stacey Eldred, all of Greenville, and Steve Winnie of Sidney; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Voss of Canadian Lakes and Ann Voss of Blanchard, and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring her wishes, private family services will be held at Wambold Cemetery near Remus at a later date. Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Peg’s memory to the CHDI Foundation (Cure Huntington’s Disease Initiative). Envelopes are available at the funeral home or donations can be made online at http://chdifoundation.org/.
