Elizabeth Sophie McGough, age 97, of Kentwood, formerly of New Jersey, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at St Mary’s Mercy Health Care in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Jake & Anna (Kotch) Novak, she was born on June 17, 1915 in Fullerton, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McGough; a daughter Marlyn VanStone; and her oldest, grandson Ralph Livingston III.

Surviving are a daughter, Joanne (Ralph) Livingston of Kentwood; four grandchildren, Scott Livingston, Kevin Livingston, Donna Livingston, and Beth Carfagno; ten great-grandchildren, Michelle, Marie, Dalton, Christopher, Penny, Tyler, Bernie, Julia, Kaitlin, and Sarah; and four great-great grandchildren, Graham, Carter, Noah, and Mason.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Pilgrim Manor Retirement Community, 2000 Leonard Street N.E., Grand Rapids, with burial following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
