Dot had many hobbies that consisted of collecting butterflies, coloring and watching Disney movies. Her greatest passion however was spending time with her family and playing dolls with her great granddaughters.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Alberta Hamilton, Bill Hamilton, Clarence Hamilton. Surviving are her children, James (Mindy) Mattone of Cedar Springs, Michael (Kristina) Mattone of Grand Rapids, Robert Cunningham of Grand Rapids; grand children, Barbara (Jordan Hudgins) Mattone, Justin Mattone, Joseph (Joey) Mattone, and James Mattone all of Grand Rapids; great grandchildren, Kamari, Aleesiya, Sophia, Meleia all of Grand Rapids; and siblings, Jack Hamilton of Utah, Judy Suttorp of Cutlerville and Joseph Mattone Jr. of Newaygo; two sister-in-laws, Nancy Hamilton and Catherine Hamilton; many nieces and nephews; along with many friends and extended family.
