The news, though expected sooner or later, took me by great surprise. I miss Great Gram very much and am thankful for the memories. I am blessed to have known her and to have had cherishable moments with her. I will remember our card games and talks, singing and dancing! Kissing her goodbye before I would leave for my classes. I have fond memories of her singing while watching “Lawrence Welk.”
Our prayers are with the family during this time of loss. Love, Heather & Jeff & boys

I remember the lake as a kid, I remember your wit and I see where my family gets alot of it from. GG you weren’t a big part of me growing up but you are a big part of who I am, a strong, smart, and unheeded level headed even through delusions. You will be missed and in my heart. I know you’ll watch over us and I’m thankful! I love you and my family, God Bless!

My earliest memories of my Great Gram was in the kitchen at the lake house, of her dog Fritzie and the ample supply of doggie biscuits she gave to us to give to him. She always made our times at the lake spacial and memorable. I will always treasure every moment I had with her though I lived so far away from her my whole life I will always envy those whom lived near to her and were able to spend more time with her. I loved her and will always carry her in my heart and know she is happy now with her beloved husband that she was in the end eager to be reunited with.

Grandma Derby Lake, I love you and miss you. I remember you as a loving matriarch and Proper Lady. We always chatted about the family, who was doing what and how proud you were of all of us. I believe that God has a special place for you and I will always carry your memory in my heart.

To my family, Grandma was loved so dearly. Her kindness and sense of humor were endearing to all of us. Missing her is inevitable, however she lives on, as grandpa does, through each of us. In our hearts and in our memories. Everytime I hear the song “Young at Heart”, I know I will think of her. She loved to dance and I like to think that now she is reunited with grandpa and they are dancing among the stars.

Dick, Kathy & Family~ You are in my thoughts and prayers. I enjoyed talking with Dorothy daily. She was precious and very kind hearted. She never really remembered my name but did know me as the girl with the long hair. I will miss her but I know she is with our Lord. Take care and thank you. I am truely honored that I was blessed to meet such a wonderful woman.

Our deepest sympathies to all family members of Dorothy. I fondly remember my summer birthdays spent at Derby with both Richard and Dorothy celebrating with us. I was the little girl next door–Sigrid Bennetts was my grandmother. Oh how my grandmother loved Dorothy and they were such good friends. I didn’t worry too much about my grandma being alone at the lake because I always knew Dorothy was right next door watching over her. Now they can re-kindle that friendship in heaven that had started so many years ago. My thoughts and prayers to you all. Lynne (Bennetts) Hughes

I would like to send my condolence to the Corr family. In reading the obituary it is obvious that Dorothy lived a long life, the Bible speaks of individuals like Dorothy as having “special mightiness” (Psalms. 90:10) In times like this I reflect on the God’s promise in John 5;28,29 of a resurrection of our dead loved ones. I hope this note brings you comfort at this time.
