Donald Thompson, age 81, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at home.

The son of Joseph & Edith (Hayes) Thompson, he was born on December 20, 1934 in Cantril, Iowa.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; snd sister, Nina Hoeksema.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Betty) Thompson; children, Cindy (Kevin) Honea, Donald Thompson, David Thompson and Tammy Thompson; grandchildren, Sarah (David) Dreyer, Evan Honea, Skye (Dameon) Thompson, Cora (Chris) Thompson, Tuezdae (Mike) Robinson, Jessee and Ashley Thompson; great grandchildren, Shelby Dreyer, Jordan Thompson, Lilly Honea, Keith and Jozzalynn Thompson; sisters, Connie Berkley and Cathie and Jon Hansen; sister-in-laws, Donna and Chuck Smith, Ann Ketchum, Patsy and Jim Turner;  and many nieces and nephews.    

Memorial Luncheon will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Wyoming Moose Lodge, 2630 Burlingame, SW, Wyoming, MI  49509.

Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapid.
