Our hearts go out the family, for your lost. Donnie would always take the time to say good mornin to me when I would come into work, no matter how busy he was.

I just wanted to let Don’s family know that I am thinking of them, always! Donnie was a GREAT human being and will be sadly missed by everyone who’s life he touched! I had the great fortune of getting to know him and his family during all the many years that we worked at Meijer. Donnie was one of those people that you could ALWAYS count on! He was helpful, kind and a pleasure to work with. I am a richer person for having known him! Thank you, Simons’ family, for sharing your husband, father, brother, etc. with all of us that knew him…he was taken from us way too early! Please consider yourselves hugged! Remember the good times, I think that is the way that Don would want it!
    Love & hugs, Kathe Laper

What a loss this is to family and friends.Don worked with me at the old Meijer store. What a privelage it was to have him as a co-worker. I was department manager at the time. I never met a more committed person who always did his best at work. Also, what a blessing it is to know he is saved through Jesus Christ, Don’s Lord and Savior. Always had time in his busy schedule at work to stop and say hello to friends. I am blessed to not only to have worked with him, but also to know him as a Christian brother in Christ. May Jesus welcome Don with open arms. Rest in peace my friend.
