Dennis L. Pohler, age 74, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 after his long battle with cancer. The son of Fred & Clara (Deyoung) Pohler he was born on July 31, 1942 in Grand Rapids.
He was a devoted family man. The loving husband to his first wife, Betty who passed away after 42 years of marriage and his present wife Carol. He was passionate about sailing, Nascar, camping and being on the water watching the sunset at the end of the day.
He was preceded in death by his father; first wife, Betty, who passed away after 42 years of marriage and daughter Ronda Greskowiak. Surviving are his, wife, Carol; children Cindy (Doug) Schutter, Jackie Pierce, Donald F. Pohler, David Pohler, Robin (Curt) Behrens, son-in-law Gary Greskowiak, Richelle (Jeff) Zigterman, and Richard E. McCune; 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; mother Clara, sisters Zeta (Roger) VanDyke and Bonnie (Larry) Pastoor; brothers David (Judy) Pohler and Ron (Dorothy) Pohler; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Woodview Christian Church, 3785 Woodview Ave. SW, Wyoming where memorial services will take place at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Stradtner officiating.
