Debbie Lee Rauch, age 56, of Gowen, passed away Sunday morning, January 18, 2015 from injuries received in an automobile accident in Oakfield Township. The daughter of Robert Leo & Ina Mae (Fulford) Kosten, she was born on April 18, 1958 in Greenville and attended Greenville Public Schools.
On September 22, 1984, at the former Hillcrest Free Methodist Church in Greenville, she married Carlton H. Rauch and they enjoyed over 30 years of marriage. Together, they both enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, hiking, and fishing. A certified nurses’ aide, Debbie worked in home health care and was a member of the Oak Hill Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her father-in-law, Burton Rauch. Surviving are her husband, Carlton Rauch of Gowen; three brothers, Robert Kosten of California, Gene Kosten, and Timothy & Malbrey Kosten, all of Georgia; her mother-in-law, Helen Rauch of Gowen; three siblings-in-law, Mary & Tom Steffes, George Rauch, all of Gowen, and Brian & Teresa Rauch of Belding; eighteen nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Debbie’s pastor, Rev. Jeff Carlson, will officiate and burial will take place in the spring at Spencer Mills Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, Debbie would have appreciated contributions in her memory to the Pregnancy Resource Center (www.prcforlife.org) in Grand Rapids.

Carl, I am so sorry for your loss. You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. Praying Gods comfort for you and help through this grieving process. Even though we don’t understand why, Gods timing is always perfect.
Our hearts are greatly saddened at the news of your loss. May your faith in the Lord and His peace and comfort be with you in this time of sorrow and loss.

Carl, it grieves me to hear of the loss of your sole mate. Deb kept you in line, limited the peanuts and candy bars. I’m sure there are new rules in Heaven, God must have needed help to have called her home. A Friend Always, Candy man
You are going to be missed by many, this was a total shock, the last few months talking with you and you and helen being with us during our hard time, i miss you already,
First of all! We want to thank you for the friendship for so many years. We remember all the good times together camping at Black Lake, Pokogan, Frankenmuth, Jackson or wherever we wanted to go. Most of all the trip to Georgia we made that in record time. Which we did meet her brothers’ what a great trip. Deb you are a great friend and will be missed a lot. We do think of you and Carl often. Our hearts goes out to the family.
