grandpa i really love and miss you alot. my heart is very broken because your not here with me,to hug me, kiss me or to wipe my tears away when i am crying. I wish i could hold you in my arms and grabe your cheeks one more time. To love you was easy, but to loose you is one of the hardest things i have to go do. The second thing is to say goodbye and see you in heaven some day. LOVE KALEB

Often as I came to see David when he was sick with cancer, we would recite Psalms 23 together. He was more like a brother to me than a brother-in-law. He will be deeply missed.

Loving you was always easy, because of what you stand for.(kindhearted, loving, giving, accepting) When you loved it unconditional. To me that was one of your best qualitys. You will be missed. Say hi to grandpa for us!

Uncle Dave, a man of tremendous courage, compassion, generosity and love. Every member of a family has their roles and personas. Uncle Dave has always been the teddy bear of the Thompson brothers. His kindness and gentleness are the qualities I will always hold close to my heart. His never yielding love for his children and family has always been inspiring. A man who (by worldly standards) had been treated unfairly at times by life and circumstances never lost his love, compassion or generosity for and to others. This world is a somewhat colder and darker place without his presence. Although he can never be replaced, I pray that,in this world, there may be more like him and that we could strive to be those persons. Always loved ya uncle Dave, always will.

I will greatly miss Uncle Dave. Every time Uncle Dave walked into the room there was excitement. He was always happy and had a good topic for conversation. He was one of the smartest men I know. He knew much about every subject. I loved Uncle Dave. He was a wonderful uncle. I look forward to seeing him in Heaven when I get there too!

I will remember Uncle Dave for his kindness, honor and integrity. This reminds me if how he lived his life:
Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
To all the people you can,
    (-John Wesley)

As long as you ever can.

Many fond memories of Uncle Dave. Can’t remember a time when he didn’t show unconditional love for us no matter what. I remember him treating everyone, especially his mother with such respect. A military hero and my hero. He will be deeply missed.

There is much to be said about David. I could not have had a better brother. David had a very caring and giving heart. He would gave you his coat in the winter time if you needed it. He gave of his money and time often. David never came to a dinner invitation without bring flowers or a box of candy, to every woman at the dinner. David was not a flirt, he was more like a big kind teddy bear. He was born into God’s family years ago(Rom.10:9).
He will be dearly missed until I see him again in Heaven.
