David Henry Britton, age 78, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015. David was preceded in death by his son, James Britton. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Britton; daughters, Katrina Britton Geog and Lisa (Jedidiah) Britton Hall; step-son, Douglas Mongar; step-daughter Robin Hitts (Chris) Sorenson; five grandchildren; four brothers, George Britton, John Britton, Harley Britton, and Paul Britton, and four sisters, Mary David, Bonnie Richardson, Jean Henty and Ruth Ann Calderaro. The family extends their special thanks to the wonderful staff at Whispering Woods and Care Resources for their loving care of David. A celebration of David’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Madison Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, 5757 Madison Ave. SE, Kentwood, MI 49548 with Pastor Nate Lowe officiating. Instead of flowers, please consider a more lasting tribute by donating to the Alzheimer’s Association in David’s memory.

Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
