Daniel Gordon Hadden lost his long battle with heart disease on April 26th, 2018. Dan had the warmest heart and was beloved by his family and friends. He was an amazing cook and expert card player who was known for his charming wit and ability to make anyone laugh.
A proud Yooper, you could often find Dan on an adventure in the woods camping, fishing or lighting a big ol’ bonfire. Dan was a talented Nurse for many years at Bell Memorial Hospital where he used his talents to save many lives and put many families at ease.
Dan is survived by his soul mate and life partner who fought by his side to the very end Laurie Robinson and her son Phillip Robinson; his daughters, Summer Kanniainen-Hadden & Nickolas Grinwis and Autumn Kanniainen-Hadden & Ryan Tappy. Father, Steve Hadden, siblings; Dale ‘Chico’ Hadden, Delana Hadden, DeAnna Hadden. Nieces and Nephews: Stephanie Hadden, Aubrianna Hadden, William Reynolds and Stephen Hadden as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Louise Tikkanen.
Dan was a long term patient at Spectrum Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids and his family would like to thank them for their tireless care in prolonging their time with him.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made your local veterans home. Dan found great joy giving back to his local veterans.
A memorial celebration of his life will occur on May 5th, 2018 from 4-7pm at the Ishpeming VFW Hall at 310 Bank Street, Ishpeming, MI 49849.
