Claire Blanche Little, age 70, formerly of Oakhurst, New Jersey, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The daughter of Everett & Lillian (Gifford) Walton, she was born on Sept. 23, 1938 in West Belmar. For over 25 years, Claire worked as a waitress at Pats Diner in Belmar. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert B. Little in 1999; her parents; two sisters, Roselyn and Ada; and three brothers, Frank, Alan, and Wayne.

Surviving are her loving children, Debbie (Larry) Desposito of Barnecat, N.J., Hank (Marie) Gibson of Eatontown, N.J., Stephen (Rosemarie) Gibson of Burlington Twp., N.J., Gilbert (Maryanne) Gibson of Brick, N.J., Terry (Vance) Cole of Greenville, Mich., and Robin (Bill) Burner of Howell Twp., N.J.; two brothers, Gilbert Walton and Everett Walton, both of Gowen, Mich.; a sister, Thelma (Ralph) Decker of Berli n, Maryland; twenty-two grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services (in New Jersey) will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

    gram i hope you can rest in peace! you are in a better place with out any pain and with loved ones we lost before we lost you. i know we have not been in touch but i will never forget the good times we had!!! like when i would visit you when i was young and you would make me me over easy eggs.. or the little tomatoes! i love you and one day i will see you again
