Christine Davis, age 64, of Wyoming, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Metro Health Hospital surrounded by family.

The daughter of W.P. & Bessie (Gross) Davis, she was born on November 12, 1952 in Charleston, MS. Christine attended Farragut High School in Chicago. She loved gospel, and blues music as well as talking on the phone. Christine was a member of Progressive Baptist Church of Chicago, IL until she relocated to Wyoming in 2008. While residing in Michigan she visited various churches in the Wyoming and Grand Rapids area. She loved nature and watching the  seasons change but most important was spending time with her grandchildren.

Christine was preceded in passing by her, step-dad, Babe Ruth; and special friends, Roy L. Yarbrough and Lawrence A. Means. Surviving are her parents; children, Vanessa Davis, Lawrence (Enjoli) Davis, and Kendra Davis; grandchildren, Enijah, Kentrell and Mariah; siblings, Alice and Bobby (Marrla); nieces, Sabrina, Chaloris, and Consuela; Nephews, Lonnie, Larry, and lil Bobby; special friend, Robert L. Jones; along with many cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and host of friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made out to the family to help with final expenses. 

A Funeral Service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, (one block west of Eastern Ave.) with visitation one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service till 3:00 p.m.   

Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
