Chris "Wayne" Wagner, age 89, passed away at his home with his family by his side, on Monday, March 25, 2019. 

 

He was born on August 17, 1929 to the late Chris W. & Gertrude (James) Wagner.

 

Chris was a longtime resident of the Sheridan area.  He worked for Wycoff Construction for 31 years, retiring in 1991.

 

He loved to spend time with his family, buy and sell at Trufant Flea Market.  He had knowledge of many things and loved to tinker. 

 

Chris is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley of 69 years; three sons, Kenneth (Karen) Wagner, David (Sarah) Wagner and Tim (Traci) Wagner;  three wonderful grandsons, Tony (Angie) Wagner of IN, David C. Wagner and John Wagner of Sheridan, MI; three step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Brittany; two sisters, Opal Thayer and Ella Alexander, both of Sheridan;  two brothers, Delmar (Betty) Wagner of Dimondale, MI and Richard (Pearl) Wagner of Grand Ledge.
