Cheri Dawn Rhodes, age 72, of Turk Lake, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at her home under the care of Heartland Hospice. The daughter of Stanley R. & Marie Elaine (Cook) Johnson, she was born on April 24, 1944 in Mount Clemens. Cheri had worked as a chief inspector on the boot making line at Wolverine World Wide in Rockford, and later as a paraprofessional with Greenville Public Schools at most of the district's schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bruce L. Steffes on November 18, 1996; and a grandson, Zachariah Lawrence "Zach" Steffes on February 10, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Todd A. Steffes of Fenwick, and Gregg "Cug" & Lori Steffes of Greenville; a grandson, Ben Steffes; a brother, Stanlee & Lynn Johnson of Lowell; two sisters, Kathy & Ross Degraaf of Mancelona, and Lynn McNally of Minnesota; a very special friend, Rose Parrish of Turk Lake; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Cheryl and I graduated together havent seen her in long time she was a lot of fun she will be missed.
