Charles Raymond House, age 82, of Edmore, passed away Tuesday morning, August 25, 2015 at Warwick Living Center in Alma.  The son of John & Marion (Martindale) House, he was born on May 26, 1933 in Vestaburg and following high school served in the United States Army.
 

Charles retired from Vestaburg Silo, spending his whole career building and repairing silos. He enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren, taking rides around the countryside and working in his yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; John & Marion House;  a  brother,  Kenneth Erving House;  a son; Kenneth Raymond House;  and his second wife, Joyce House.

Surviving are his only daughter, Dena & Rodney Clark of Blanchard;  grandchildren; Tressa & Eric Stratton, Russell Teegardin II, and Kenneth House II;  two great grandchildren; Leah Stratton and Cory Stratton;  a brother, Robert Wayne House; four sisters, Lila & Ted Hansen, Patricia & Larry Switzer, Kay & Stan Curtiss,  and Sandra Westerhoff; and several nieces and nephews.

    Thank you for all the great memories when I’d come stay with you and grandma! I will never forget all the movie watching, playing frogger, puff mushrooms, and finding tree frogs in your shed. Wishing I’d have known you better in my adult life. I’m thinking of the family you left behind and wishing them comfort in the many happy memories they have with you.

    I’m sorry for your loss my dad was Floyd Hammond I can remember going to Kenny and Charlotte’s house when we were at Uncle Allen and Aunt Carol Delemater’s

    You were a great father in law to me even after your son passed away. All of us at the vfw will miss your sense of humor when you stop in on Monday afternoon and had a half of cup coffee with all of us you will be missed but not forgotten thanks for all the memories dion house =ƒÆû

    So sorry to learn of Charlies passing. What a nice man he was, I babysat for Dena and Kenny, and was good friends with Cheryl , he was in fact a great person to be around, and a great dad and uncle. You will be missed Charlie :))
