Charles Raymond House, age 82, of Edmore, passed away Tuesday morning, August 25, 2015 at Warwick Living Center in Alma. The son of John & Marion (Martindale) House, he was born on May 26, 1933 in Vestaburg and following high school served in the United States Army.
Charles retired from Vestaburg Silo, spending his whole career building and repairing silos. He enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren, taking rides around the countryside and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John & Marion House; a brother, Kenneth Erving House; a son; Kenneth Raymond House; and his second wife, Joyce House.
Surviving are his only daughter, Dena & Rodney Clark of Blanchard; grandchildren; Tressa & Eric Stratton, Russell Teegardin II, and Kenneth House II; two great grandchildren; Leah Stratton and Cory Stratton; a brother, Robert Wayne House; four sisters, Lila & Ted Hansen, Patricia & Larry Switzer, Kay & Stan Curtiss, and Sandra Westerhoff; and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will take place privately at Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore. So sorry to learn of Charlies passing. What a nice man he was, I babysat for Dena and Kenny, and was good friends with Cheryl , he was in fact a great person to be around, and a great dad and uncle. You will be missed Charlie :))
