Charles Henry “Charlie” Gerlach, Jr. III, age 46, formerly of Manistee, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at home in Wyoming under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Michigan.
The son of Joyce Ann (Kellogg) & Charles Henry Gerlach, Jr. II, he was born on January 18, 1970 in Manistee. Charlie spent 25 years as a river guide and first mate guiding tours on Lake Michigan and the Big Manistee.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his partner, Jacci Harding and her children, JoJo Harding and Josh Harding, all of Wyoming; daughter, Sara Gerlach and her partner, Ray Stevens, and their children, Ethan and Trey, all of Manistee; two sons, Zach Gerlach and his partner, Brenna Rhachelle, and their children Parker and new coming baby Gerlach, all of Manistee, and Ty Gerlach of Wyoming; sister Geri Walker and her partner, Kyle Granger; a brother, Gary Walker; special nieces, Heather Adamski and Dani Dillion; and many other dear relatives and friends.
