Charles Beardsley, age 70, of Grand Rapids, passed away January 17, 2017 at home surrounded by family. 

The son of Pete M. & Bridget (Calendrino) Beardsley, he was born on November 16, 1946 in Grand Rapids. 

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard, Dave and Carl Crittendon; and sister, Rose Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his dog and best friend, Boomer; daughter, Bridget (Beardsley) Folk, and her children, Marissa Beardsley, Alannah and Vincent, Taegan Folk, and Aden Folk; step son, Roger (Barb) Petree, and their children, Ashley, Laura, Sara, and Rusty; sisters, Mary Martinez, and Carol Diaz; brother, Pete Beardsley; sister-in-laws, Lori Crittendon and Gay Moody; brother-in-laws, Wayne (Sue) Busbee, and Terry Johnson; step son, Tom Petree, and his son, Thomas Petree, and Ivy Petree & Ada; Ashley, Caden; and his several nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Special thanks to Christina and Harold.

Memorial services are from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, (one block west of Eastern Ave.). A luncheon will be at Mt. Mercy Apartments, 1425 Bridge St. Grand Rapids ring code #205 anytime after 2:30 p.m.

Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
