At a time like this, words of expression are hard to find. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of such a great man. I was blessed to have so much of Chad in my childhood.

It is difficult now to be so far away from Michigan; and to miss out on a final goodbye. I would prefer to give my condolences in person- and wish to at least hug the parents that cared for me when I was young.

To Chad- The days of our childhood have since passed, but the memories are never forgotten. Your spirit will live on through so many loved ones…

    With Sympathy,
    Travis Hardin

Since middle school Chad has always been a brother to me. Boy scouts, the wrestling team, roommates in college, pledge brothers in the fraternity; he always gave me a reassurance which I drew strength from. I am blessed to know him and it was a great honor to be his friend and brother. I can sincerely say that he made me a better man and will continue to influence and inspire me throughout my life. I am thankful for all the memories and want you to know he will live on and be remembered daily in my life as the smart, adventurous, fun-loving man that changed my life so profoundly. No words can take away the pain that your family is feeling. Chad was my son’s fraternity brother and a friend to our daughter. We had the opportunity to meet him back in 2007 for the first time & at other events over their years at Ferris. This world lost one of the “good guys” the other day! May God hold your family in his arms & help your hearts heal. “Never Good Bye, Only See You Later”. Rest in Peace in God’s heavenly home Chad.

The sadness is overwhelming, to lose such a young man that was a big part of our lives during his school years, watching him grow, earn Eagle Scout, and see him develop into such a fine young man. He will be missed.

Chad’s family is in my prayers. He was a role model for me through out my career in Boy Scouts, and I always looked up to him, even though I lost touch with him after we left scouts. Its my prayer that good will come out of this tragedy, and that hope and forgiveness will be found.

    Posted by: Doreen Petersen Reynolds

Such an unfortunate tragedy. Chad, Christian and Brett were such good friends and a part of our lives for so many years. Fortunately, a strong and beautiful tapestry (of his life) has been woven; and although memories do not have the same physicality as a hug, they do offer comfort as we remember and celebrate his life. The pain in the loss of a son, a brother… I have no words, I cry with and for you. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. All my love, Doreen
