Bruce E. Linscott, age 67, of Wyoming, MI, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019, surrounded by family. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on June 26, 1952, to the late Forest and Ruth (Baker) Linscott.  Bruce graduated from Godwin Heights High School with the class of 1970, and went on to marry his former wife, Laurie Briggs. He worked for GM for several years. 

Bruce is survived by his daughters, Erin and Lauren Linscott; brothers, Ken (Shirley) and Tom (Kae) Linscott; sister, Dorothy (Wayne) Halstead; and sisters-in-law, Kathy and Pauline Linscott. He is further survived by special friends, Dick Ortega, Steve Anderson, Rick Berkey, Lance Wissman; guardian angel, Sharon Bowden; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Forest Linscott and his brothers, Donald and Dave Linscott. 

Years ago, Bruce began organizing annual Thanksgiving Eve Godwin Get Togethers for classmates.  This event has since been re-named in his honor and has grown to include numerous classes. 

A celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held in Grand Rapids (location to be announced at a later date) from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 27, 2019.  Family will likely also attend the Bruce Linscott Annual Thanksgiving Get Together.

    Oh my gosh!! A great friend at Ferris and quite a character at that. I am shocked and saddened. I remember him with his funny humor. Best to you his family!!
