I knew Bischop Turner only by his online presence on Facebook. During a very tough in my life, I posted on FB a little about it. I received a message from him that he had praying with and for me on that issue. If he took that kind of interest in a FB friend, I can only imagine what value he was to those who knew him well.

    Hi Pastor Tommy,
This is Kim from WTLJ TV-54. Pastor Lynda Dyke informed us earlier this week that your father passed away this past Saturday. I just wanted to say that “blessed in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints”. I didn’t know your father personally, but I know what it’s like to have a parent pass on to glory. My mom died back in 1986. It will be a long grieving process for you, the church, & your family. However, with God’s help, you will get through that grieving process. Hang in there. In the Lord’s perfect timing, we pray that you will be able to join us again for Ask the Pastor. We miss you around here & pray for God’s best during this very difficult time.

    With The Love of Jesus,
    Kim Vander Molen,
    WTLJ

Grandpoppy, You are so missed. I find comfort in knowing you served the Lord and are in a better place now. I pray that you watch over us your family and that your passing has a positive impact on us all. Thank you for the many things about love and marriage you taught me Scott and I are forever blessed with that knowledge. I will never forget all of the good conversations we have had, all the things you taught me, the way you smiled, and the way you always found the good in even the worst circumstance. You will be forever in our hearts until we meet again. All my love your number 1 granddaughter Shanda Marie and Scott
