Beverly J. Mach, age 83, of Gowen, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 9, 2019, at Spectrum Health Rehab & Nursing Center-United Hospital in Greenville. The daughter of Frank & Betty (Martin) Patterson, she was born on May 15, 1936 in Detroit.
On June 6, 1953, in Westland, she married Russell B. Mach, and together they raised two children and enjoyed 49 years of marriage, until Russ passed away on October 26, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Lou Ann Mach on Aug. 26, 1973.
Beverly was the office manager for Russ Mach Excavating and in retirement, she and Russ enjoyed traveling in their motorhome. Beverly was skilled at needlecrafts and enjoyed sewing, embroidery and crocheting.
Surviving are her son, Tony Mach of Cary, Illinois; three siblings, Gary & Irene Patterson of Carlton, Pat & Mary Jo Patterson of Florida, and Betty Lou & Jim Whitehill of Jackson; siblings in-law, Angie Mach of Dearborn Heights, and Judith Mach-Volker of Canton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rev. John Kirkman will officiate and burial will follow at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.

Bev was one of my mom’s longest and dearest friends, going back to Romulus and Russ and my dad were best friends at Romulus High as well.-á After my mom passed a couple of years ago, Bev always took the time to share her kind thoughts with us on Facebook and was always such a sweet and wonderful person.-á My mom and her kids (us) went out to Gowen a few times to visit and always had such a nice and fun time.-á I always admired Bev’s strength after the loss of Lou Ann and how her faith kept her going.-á My deepest condolences to Tony and all of Bev’s family and friends,
