Mrs. Betty Lou Bard is either watching “WHEEL! Of Fortune” or tending God’s many birds with her precious mother, Gertrude Crandle, and her faithful dog, Raven.

She will be painfully missed by her daughter, Diane Geelhoed, and her son, Scott J (Dee Getty) Bard.

Betty’s sister, Carol (Skip) Weymouth and brother, Patrick (Wanda) Crandle will deeply miss their sister.

Her grandchildren, Sarah (Phil) Rasnake, Emily Geelhoed, Katie Kanoza, Darcie (Dustin Fuentes) Bard, Chris (Christi Cozart) Kanoza and Scott A. Bard will miss their grandma’s unusual sense of humor, and her beautiful smile.

Her beautiful great granddaughter, Olivia Bard, held a special place in Betty’s heart.

She will be fondly remembered by her niece, Nancy Banfill Snyder and her son-in-law-Mike Kanoza.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jesse J. Bard, great grandson, Austin Rasnake, brother-in-law, William (Dorothy) Bard, brother-in-law, Louie Bard, sister-in-law, Lorna (Phil) Banfill, aunt, Addie Crandle, cousin, Pam Crandle, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Betty’s wish was for the living to not mourn her passing but to celebrate her life with funny memories. Honoring her wishes, there will be no formal services and donations in memory of Betty may be given to Faith Hospice or the Kent County Humane Society.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
