Betty E. Sias, age 80, of Stanton, passed away Monday evening, September 30, 2019 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with her children at her side. 

The daughter of Raymond John & Eithel B. (Baldwin) Sly, Betty was born on May 28, 1939 in Comstock Park and graduated from Sheridan Rural Agricultural High School.

Betty retired from the former Electrolux Home Products after 35 years of service and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her sisters and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Charles & Alice Sly, Burton & Beatrice Sly, and Raymond Sly; and four sisters, Clarabell Phyllis Sawdy, Althea Agnes Nichols, Sandra Lea Hanson, and Arden Eithel Sly. 

Surviving are her children, Eldon Edward Sias of Fenwick, Quinn Nile & Melissa Sias of Sheridan, Mark Dwayne & Sherri Sias of Cedar Springs, Roxann & Jim Wesolowski of Denver, North Carolina, and Carinna Sias of Pentwater;  her grandchildren, Jenny Sias, Matt Packer, Samantha Sias, Drew Wesolowski, Camden Wesolowski, Nolan Wesolowski, Chrissy & Matt DeForest, Christopher Toppings and Tiffany Fulger;  great-grandchildren, Jaden Packer, Adilyn Packer, Naomi Treynor, Ayden Treynor, Lily Treynor, and Callum DeForest;  a brother and two sisters-in-law,  brother Robert & Betty Sly, and Shirley Sly;  three sisters and one brother-in-law,  Freda & Gary VanBuskirk, Sharon Kay Collins, and Charlene Ann Cazier;  and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, Greenville.

    TO BETTY’S FAMILY, SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.-á I WORKED WITH BETTY AND HAD FUN MOST OF THE TIME.-á SHE WAS A VERY GOOD PERSON TO-á BE WITH.-á SORRY TO SAY I HAVEN’T SEEN HER SINCE I RETIRED,MY LOSS. RIP IN PEACE DEAR WOMAN.
