Bessie Jean Vineyard, age 79, of Jenison, passed away on June 7, 2018.  

The daughter of Frederick & Mary (Alexander) Vineyard, she was born on February 24, 1939 in Grand Rapids.

Bessie loved to travel, listen to music and watch movies.  She was a devoted member of faith, attending Fellowship Reformed of Hudsonville for 8 years.  Bessie was an avid reader of the newspaper.  She also loved to stay in touch with family by hand writing cards and letters. Bessie was also one of the most friendly you would ever meet.  She carried that over into her work as a caregiver, dedicating over 40 years of service to helping others.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents.  She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Dorothy & Larry Peter of Florida and Ruth & Jerry Orrell of Michigan; brothers James Vineyard of Michigan and  Kenneth Vineyard of California; nine nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Floral View Memorial Gardens, 5371 8th Ave, Grandville, MI 49418.
