Bernice L. Kaywood, age 85, of Buffalo Grove, IL passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Woodlawn Meadows.
The daughter of John & Anna (Krupka) Grochowich, she was born November 11, 1929 in Selkirk, Manitoba. Bernice enjoyed her job as a realtor and retired after 40 years. She was loved by all and the life of the party know matter where she was at.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Charles L. Kaywood; and brother, Walter Grochowich. Surviving are two daughters, Karen (George) Adams, and Kristine Kaywood; step-mother, Sophie Grochowich; three brothers, Steve, Stanley, and Patrick; sister, Francis; grandchildren, Jason (Dana) Adams, and Tracey (Kevin) Larsen; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM with a funeral mass to follow at on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.cancer.org/donate
Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.

My dear wonderful friend, always caring and loving. Special long phone conversations and getting together for fun times, A truly special lady I’ve had the pleasure of having in my life for 30 years.
She will be sorely missed; however, she will live in my heart forever.
I miss my Aunty Bunny, I remember numerous visits with her and it’s true, she brought the fun and life to the party. Despite the distance between us, she was dearly loved and the earthly world lost a little light when she left us.
