Benjamin B. Shue, born December 1, 1937, passed away on August 19, 2019. Ben leaves behind his two loving daughters, Theresa Brade and Laura TerVeen, son-in-laws Ian Brade and Troy TerVeen, and three fantastic grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, and Zechariah. Seeing Theresa and Laura graduate from Michigan State University and University of Michigan, respectively, was a major point in Ben’s life. Ben was a Navy Veteran and a degreed electrical engineer from Purdue University. He believed in supporting our beautiful state of Michigan by living here year round and being available at all times for his Michigan family. He was an awesome fisherman, analytical to the point of being irritating, an amazing fund raiser, and a solid participant in many organizations and his church. Electric trains were his passion. The rest of Ben’s story can be found in his published book of fiction titled “Drawbridges in Dayton”. Anything anyone can do for the Veteran’s Home in Grand Rapids, Michigan or Veterans in general would be appreciated. In response to Ben’s wishes, a private family memorial will take place.
