Barry A. Ridgeway, Jr., age 38, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his home.  The son of Renae Annette (Smith) & Barry Alton Ridgeway, Sr., he was born on December 23, 1978 in Grand Rapids and worked as a truss builder with Truss Technologies in Cedar Springs.

Barry enjoyed pitching horseshoes, OhioState football, camping, mushroom hunting, and playing cribbage and euchre, but his greatest delight was in time spent with his daughter, Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Renae Ridgeway.  Surviving are his father, Barry A. Ridgeway, Sr. of Greenville;  his daughter, Shelby Ridgeway at home;  two sisters, Amber Ridgeway and her fiance Michael DePue of Greenville, and Monica Ridgeway of Stanton;  a brother, Jeff Ridgeway of Lansing;  aunts and uncles, Faith Ridgeway & Brent Decker of Gowen, Curtis & Colleen Ridgeway of Gowen, Jack & Faye Randall of Evart, Bill Arntz & Judy Kuta of Gowen, Al & Vivian Ridgeway of Sheridan, and Aaron Ridgeway of Stanton;  several nieces, nephews, and cousins;  and many dear friends.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017at the Greenville Moose Lodge,   5649 S. Greenville Road (M-91), Greenville (just south of Randy Merren Auto Sales).  Cremation has taken place and final interment will take place privately at EastMontcalm Cemetery.

    I enjoyed going to Crystal Raceway with Barry age 10-16 & Amber. They won my heart the day I met them. Barry ate rhubarb right from the patch@ Gpa Ridgeway’s. Wonderful memories RIP Barry FOREVER IN MY HEART YOU’LL BE MISSED VERY MUCH! Love YOU FOREVER!

    I say through teary eyes that you, Barry, will be greatly missed. You were an incredible kid and loved by many. I am so sad you had to leave us so early in life.

    I miss him very much, he was the greatest dad ever. One of the best people I knew, sad he left the world so early.
