Surviving are her four daughters and three sons-in-law, Eileen & Bill Burr of Langston, Joan Christensen of Smyrna, Claudia & Dick Nielsen of Turk Lake, Peggy & Richard Clutch Kelley of Greenville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dick & Sally Barthel of Belding, Jim Barthel of Fairview, Oklahoma, and Gary & Nancy Barthel of Leesville, Louisiana. Also surviving are two brothers, William Wooton of Milford, and Jack Wooton of Florida; several siblings-in-law, including Lawrence Larry Barthel of Greenville; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Honoring Barbaras wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either the Flat River Community Library or the Greenville Ecumenical Food Mission. The Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, is serving the family and was entrusted with the arrangements.
