Arla Mae Emmons, age 64, of Howard City, passed away Sunday morning, October 22, 2017 under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice.  The daughter of Gerald & Wilma Lucille (Grabill) Luchies, she was born on July 21, 1953 in Fremont. 

On November 22, 2003, in Howard City, she married Ward L. Emmons, Jr. and together they enjoyed almost 14 years of marriage.  Arla had worked in janitorial services at Benteler Automotive Coporation in Grand Rapids.

Surviving are her husband, Ward Emmons of Howard City;  four children, Amy Sink of Georgia, Mike & Teresa Emmons of Grand Rapids, Ryan Emmons of Howard City, and Jill Bond of Howard City;  ten grandchildren, Jazmine, Dakota, Tyler, Dylan, Alexiea, William, Allison, Jacob, Lindsey, and Rachel;  two sisters and a brother, Zelma & Jim Knuver of Fremont, Paul & Nyla Luchies of Nevada, and Barb Kenyon of Grant;  and many other dear family and friends.

Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 51 W. Oak Street, Fremont, with a luncheon immediately following the ceremony.  Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place.
