Antra "Andy" Howard, age 71, of Stanton, formerly of Vickeryville, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Robert & Austra (Mukuss) Couch, she was born on February 22, 1948 in Germany.
On October 1, 1966 she married Douglas Wayne Seaward Howard and together they enjoyed over 52 years of marriage and raised two children. Andy also worked outside the home at the former Electrolux Home Products in Greenville until the plant closed in 2006. She enjoyed nature, especially tending her flowers and gardens and feeding the birds, but found her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Greenville, as well as UAW Local 137.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Aro; three sisters, Austra, Sandra, and Rita; and a daughter-in-law, Marie Howard. Surviving are her husband, Doug Howard of Stanton; their two children, Alicia & Tim Waters of Greenville, and Allen Howard of Sheridan; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings-in-law, Duane Howard, Vanessa Wisman, Vicki DeVries, and Sherry Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rev. Ken Harger, retired pastor of Shiloh Community Church, will officiate. Envelopes for memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan will be available at the funeral home or you may donate online at: www.rmhwesternmichigan.org

Denny and I are so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. We know she was a special lady and the loss of your mom is a hard one to bear. We will be praying for you in the days ahead. Remember your happy times with her.
