Andrew James Nichols, age 36, of Comstock Park, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at home surrounded by family.
The son of Garlan & Anetta (Prettyman) Nichols, he was born on July 31, 1980 in Grand Rapids. Andrew attended and graduated from Wyoming Park High School. He then went on to be a package truck driver for United Parcel Service for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Anne Nichols; daughter, Morgan Rylie Nichols; parents; siblings, Michael (Jessica) Nichols, Garlan (Mickele) Nichols Jr., Tara (Jeremiah) Johnson, and John Nichols; along with nieces and nephews, Brayden, Gabriel, McKenna, Tenleigh, Keegan, Tyler, Jeremiah Jr., and Kingston.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Grandville-Jenison Congregational Church, 3900 Henry St., Grandville. A Memorial service will follow on Tuesday, August 30th at 11 a.m. with a luncheon immediately after.

Honoring his wishes cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.

You were one of the funniest guys I ever had the privilege to work with. You will truly be missed my friend. My thoughts and prayers to your family.
Today will be 4 months that you suffer no more…. I think of you each day and find myself wondering what tomorrow brings. I have graduated the Academy that you told me not to worry, that they would call. As I was walking down during the ceremony I began to break down wishing you were there with me, but then I realized you were… I just wish you didnt have to go, but happy you arent suffering. My uncle is one of the best of uncles in the world and I miss you and love you every minute that we had and I miss you a joke ton!
