Alwin Rex "Al" Curtis, age 80, of Cedar Springs, passed away Tuesday morning, February 27, 2018 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice.  The son of Rex A. & Lillian M. (Kimpton) Curtis, he was born on April 10, 1937 in Bellevue. 

On November 1, 1969, in Marshall, he married Virginia Ann Earl and together they enjoyed over 48 years of marriage and raised three sons.  For over 40 years, Al worked for General Motors in Lansing and also farmed.  Besides his family and work, his greatest passion was in all things John Deere. 

He was preceded in death by his parents;  and a son, Ronald Lynn Curtis in 2000.  Surviving are his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Curtis;  two sons, David & Cynthia Curtis, all of Cedar Springs, and Gary & Kim Curtis of Mt. Morris;  two brothers, Arlo & JoAnn Curtis and Richard Curtis;  ten grandchildren;  two great-grandchildren;  nine siblings-in-law;  and many, many nieces and nephews.
