Doris Shirley Schoonmaker, of Sparta, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Corewell Health Rehab & Nursing Center in Greenville. Doris was born on October 31, 1931 to the late Andrew & Ethel (Crisman) Crouch.
Doris was proceeded in death by her parents; a daughter, Dawn Rosenberger; two sons-in-law, Gary Rosenberger and Howard Hall; a great-granddaughter, Rylin Faith Daniels; five Brothers Dick, Bob, Dave, Ron and Terry Crouch; a sister, Kathy Denham; a nephew, Richie Denham; and three sisters-in-law, Frankie, Mary Lou, and Janet.
Doris is survived by her six children Starr Hall, Ray & Linda Schoonmaker, Robert & Midge Schoomaker, Tim & Nancy Schoonmaker, Tom & Kim Schoonmaker, and Shelly Schoonmaker; two step-children, Kim Caldwell Lentz and Rick Caldwell; a sister-in-law, Vickie Crouch; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Doris was loved by many and will be missed.
Cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. The family is having a time for fellowship at the American Legion Post #287, 91 South First Street, Cedar Springs, on July 7, 2023 at 11:00AM.

A fond memory I have of Doris is telling her Happy Birthday every year while my boys would open their bags for candy😊 She was so kind to my family and will be so missed! Sending All our love to her loved ones 💜
SCHOONMAKER FAMILY SO SORRY ABOUT AUNT DORIS SHE WAS ALWAYS SO KIND AND LOVING TO ME . SHE HAD A GOOD LONG LIFE .SHE WILL BE SADLY MISSED .SHE CAN GO AND BE IN NO MORE PAIN AND LIVE AND BE WITH HER FAMILY THAT HAS PASSED ALREADY.REST IN PEACE AUNT DORIS.LOVE YOU JACKIE
