Yong Adams Obituary (1943 - 2023)

Yong Hui Adams, born Yong Hui Chang on May 26, 1943, in Seoul, South Korea, peacefully passed away on December 20, 2023, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 80. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Yong was a beautiful, caring, and loving individual. She was known for her hard work and dedication, both as a bartender, where she met her husband of 55 years, Robert L Adams, and during her 30-year career on the assembly line at BOC Oldsmobile, from which she retired. Yong's selfless and giving nature touched the lives of many. In her free time, Yong enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with her grandson, Clayton Holcomb, whom she cherished dearly. She also found solace and joy in visiting the cabin and embracing the beauty of the lake. Yong is survived by her loving husband, Robert L Adams, her son, Thomas G Adams, her daughter, Lisa C Holcomb, and son-in-law, Mark Holcomb. Loving family members in S. Korea and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Chang Sok Hung, and her mother, Yi Tai Hui. Per her wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Instead, we will honor Yong's life with a Celebration of Life, where we will remember and celebrate the beautiful memories she created with her family and friends. Yong Hui Adams will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her smile and selflessness will forever remain in our hearts. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
