William Streeter

Russ Streeter, age 69, of Canadian Lakes, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of James Russell & Mary Elizabeth (McNamara) Streeter, he was born on April 3, 1948 in Detroit. On August 23, 1969, he married Vickie Gaylord and together they enjoyed 48 years of marriage and raised two sons. After earning his Bachelors degree in education, Russ spent his career as a teacher and educator, retiring from Chippewa Hills School District in 2006. He was an avid golfer and also a member of the Stanwood Aerie Eagles Club. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Vickie Streeter; their children, Jonathan Streeter of Bozeman, Montana, and Jason & Kendrah Streeter of Kalamazoo; and three grandchildren, Bridger, Mila and Juniper. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and memorial services are being planned for late April at the Stanwood Eagles Club. Instead of flowers, Russ would have appreciated contributions in his memory to Spectrum Health Hospice of Grand Rapids.
