Vera Wood

Vera Ellen Wood, age 74, of Greenville, went into the loving arms of her Lord Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at home, under the care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Forrest Adelbert & Evelyn Mae (Donovan) Blumberg, she was born on April 3, 1946 in Greenville. Vera worked for over twenty-five years at Federal Mogul in purchasing before retiring in 2009. On April 30, 1977, in Grand Rapids, she married Roy Wayne Wood, and together they enjoyed 31 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Roy, on September 28, 2008. Surviving are her daughter, Cassandra & Robert Wilcox of Greenville; two step-sons, Roy Wayne Wood and Kevin Wood; six grandchildren, Joshua Wilcox, Jack & Allison Wilcox, Nicholas Wilcox, and Madeleine Wilcox, Tyler, Cameron, and Douglas Wood; her sister, Linda & Mike Dalton of Hubbardston; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Ashley Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. David A.
