Tito Ortiz Obituary (1924 - 2015) - Greenville, Michigan

Tiburcio Rivera "Tito" Ortiz, age 90, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Metron of Belding. The son of Hipolito and Francesca (Rivera) Ortiz, he was born on August 11, 1924 in Puerto Rico and had served in the Puerto Rico National Guard during World war II. He worked as a professional horse trainer across the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, and a brother. Surviving are his children, Elizabeth Ortiz of Atlanta, Georgia, Carmen Pyle of Deland, Florida, Edward & Kathy Ortiz of Howard City, William & Mindy Ortiz of Rapid River, Gloria & William Rinzema of Charlevoix, and Patrick Ortiz of Gaylord; his former wife and the mother of his children, Nancy Ortiz of Mt. Pleasant; sixteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, Greenville.
