Thomas Hatchew

Thomas George Hatchew, Jr., age 65, of Rodney, Michigan, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 30, 2019 at home with his wife by his side, holding his hand, after a brief illness. The son of Carol Ann (Carr) & Thomas George Hatchew, Sr., he was born on February 16, 1954 in Big Rapids and was a 1972 graduate of Big Rapids High School. On December 16, 2016, at Rodney, he married his beloved, Renee Louise Beaumont Tom worked jobs in production, retail, and assembly, but the job he cherished most is when he worked as a conductor for the railroad. One of his beloved hobbies was working on his model railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Sr. & Carol Hatchew. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Renee (Beaumont) Hatchew; his children, Adam & Haley Hatchew of Traverse City, and Joshua & Lesley Hatchew of Rodney; three step-children, Megan Beaumont of Flint, Samantha Jacobson of Weidman, and Tom & Christen Beaumont of Allendale; two sisters, Sandra Ellis of Paris and Karen & Bill Whipple of Stanwood; eight grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
