Ronald Lessard

Chief Petty Officer Ronald Edward Lessard, age 75, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, passed away April 10, 2020. The son of Raphael Lessard & Doris Foster, he was born on September 26, 1945 in Ludington. Ron was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Central Michigan University, authored two books, and completed Master's work at a university in Tennessee. He was very active in his churches, serving as a Lay Pastor, an Elder, and on the Clerk of Sessions. He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, Lisa Kathleen Hamlin; siblings, Francis Sauers, Luther Foster Lessard, Robert Lessard, and Patricia Rimer. Surviving are his brother, Raphael Joseph Lessard, and several nieces, nephews and special friends. Committal services, with military honors, are at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington (906 N. Lakeshore Drive). A memorial service will follow from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post # 76, Edwin H. Ewing (318 N. James Street, Ludington).
