Reba Williams

Reba L. Williams, age 76, of Greenville, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 28, 2015 at her home under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Caring & Hospice. The daughter of Lester George & Lillian Mae (Barber) Mayo, she was born on March 3, 1939 in Ridgely, Tennessee. On March 27, 1954, in Mississippi, she married Junior Williams and together they raised three children and enjoyed 53 years of marriage until Junior passed away on October 8, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Angie Mayo; and two daughters, Vicky Kay Williams (who died as an infant) and Cindy Gail Gleason. A devoted wife and mother, Reba also worked outside the home at Stow & Davis Furniture Company and retired from Steelcase. She had attended Resurrection Life Church in Grand Rapids and will be remembered for always putting the needs of others before her own. Surviving are her children, Rick Williams of Greenville, and Tracy Williams of Cedar Springs; two sisters, Patricia Britt of Waco, Texas, and Barbara Morley of Union City; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
