Raymond J. Whitcomb Obituary (1970 - 2025)

Raymond James Whitcomb, age 54, of Carson City, Michigan, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan with his family at his side. The son of Robert Raymond & Nancy Ann (Rushford) Whitcomb, he was born on May 13, 1970 in Munising, Michigan and was a graduate of Carson City High School. Ray worked most of his life in the construction trades and enjoyed working on, wrenching on, and painting cars. He was his twin brother’s “chief mechanic”, keeping Robert’s stock car ready for the next race. He was preceded in death by is father, Robert R. Whitcomb; his mother, Nancy Whitcomb; and Nancy’s long-time companion, Rex Skea. Surviving are his children, Raymond and Kateri; a sister, Linda Gallagher of Gladwin; two brothers, Robert Whitcomb of Stanton, and Lem Whitcomb of Carson City; an aunt, Beverly Bond; an uncle, Larry Rushford; six nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
