Peter Duffy Bentley, 82, of Greenville passed away on December 15, 2020 at Mission Point of Greenville. The son of Earl & Agnes (McCue) Bentley, he was born on January 25, 1938 in, Grand Rapids.
He grew up on the family farm east of Cascade. He worked on the farm and helped neighboring farmers. He also did snowplowing and lawn mowing. He'll be best remembered for his Jeeps and willingness to help others. He was always interested in cars and trucks and had a great memory for information on them. In his later years, he lived in Stanton, and then most recently was a resident of Mission Point of Greenville, where he passed away of Covid-19.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Agnes; his sister, Dorothy "Susan" Jastifer; and his nephew, Cameron. He is survived by his brother, James Patrick "Pat" Bentley; his nephews, Jayce, Chris, Russell, and Sean; his nieces, Leila and Rebecca; and many other grand-nieces and nephews, and friends.
Honoring his wishes, Peter will be cremated and laid to rest at Cascade Cemetery. Due to the continued restrictions on social gatherings, memorial services are being planned for later, and times and dates will be announced.
