Paul Worthy

Paul Herbert Worthy, age 57, bid his last farewell on the evening of Saturday, July 31, 2021. His journey began gentle and peaceful while he slept at home, where family bade one last goodbye and saw him off to his travels. The son of Marvin Earl Worthy & Phyllis Louise (Essary) Begin, he came into this world on May 12, 1964 in Wayne, Michigan, was a graduate of Cedar Springs High School and served a modest time as an Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Army. Like father, like son, Paul was a talented carpenter capable of creating wonderful things, and like his father, he spent most of his life working with his hands. Beyond building, Paul was a creative soul through and through, and his passions knew no bounds. He was an avid writer, having written countless novels, often by hand, and had self-published one, The Means. One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather. He also enjoyed music, bonfires, gatherings, a good dirty joke, and just good old fashioned tinkering around. He was known to be a real mean SOB unwilling to back down from a fight, but he was best known for what he truly was: a kind, generous, loving soul always willing to help another in need. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Earl Worthy. Surviving are his mother, Phyllis Louse Begin; two daughters, Kimberly Brassell and Jenna Worthy; grandson, Harley James Hansen; a sister Sandy & Lee Lewis and their daughters; and various aunts, uncles and cousins.
