Patricia Flashaar

Patricia L. "Pat" Flashaar, age 75, of Greenville, passed away Thursday evening, December 12, 2019 at her home under the loving care of her family and Interim Healthcare of West Michigan. The daughter of Carl E. & Bertie E. (House) Cory, she was born on June 20, 1944 in Hart, Michigan. On April 28, 1962, at the First Baptist Church in Greenville, she married Ronald F. "Bud" Flashaar and together they raised three children and enjoyed 56 years of marriage until Bud passed away on May 9, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Scott Flashaar on December 19, 2015; a grandson, Chad Saladin on December 19, 2012; a sister, Nancy Thompson; and a brother, Ronald Cory. Together Pat & Bud were long-time members of the First Congregational Church, where she was active in the Women's Fellowship, and also enjoyed camping, street rods and dune buggies. Pat had worked at Electrolux Home Products for over 20 years and retired from Federal-Mogul Corporation. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda & Keith Saladin of Cedar Springs and Angela & Bryan Garvey of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Flashaar of Greenville; three grandchildren, Cami & Michael Saladin-Yonovitz of Allendale, Kegan & Melissa Garvey , and Korbin & Cayla Garvey, all of Sheridan; a great-grandson, Landon Michael Yonovitz of Allendale; three sisters, Barb & Stan McMeeken of Greenville, Debra & Paul Thornton of Fenwick, and Carla & Dee Burnett of Benton, Kentucky; siblings-in-law, Sandie & Dale Lake of Trufant, and Steve & Karen Flashaar of Grand Blanc; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 126 E. Cass Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Rev. Jason Dillingham, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate, along with family friend, Mark Wilkin.
